Men’s Shirts
As best we can tell, men’s shirts in 1745 Highland Scotland were the same as shirts worn elsewhere in Europe at this time. Cuffs and collars were relatively narrow, about 1″. They would have been made of linen, wool, or linsey-woolsey (a fabric with a linen warp and woolen weft), and would have buttoned at the cuff and collar using linked sleeve buttons or thread (dorset) buttons.
